There are many changes in the world of
individual health insurance.
With the new health insurance initiatives, the
health insurance carriers have had to go back to the drawing board
to deliver plans that meet the new standards. Some of the new
plan mandates that have already emerged are things like no charge
for preventative visits. Another one is that child only plans
(plans with no adult members enrolled) are now
guaranteed issue.
With all that said, here are the plans that we
recommend, based on affordability and benefits. All plans
listed below include both generic Rx and brand name Rx:

Anthem Blue Cross ClearProtection 3300 Plus PPO

Accident Plan Add-on
If you can only afford plans that
feature a high deductible, you may want to consider the purchase of
a supplemental accident plan. An accident plan works in
conjunction with a regular health insurance plan, such as a PPO
plan.
Here's how it works... should you have a
personal accident (slip and fall, sports injury, etc.) the accident
plan pays for your accident related expenses (emergency room
services, labs, x-rays, etc;) and you use those reimbursed funds to
pay off your PPO heath plan deductible.
Click here for an example of how an accident plan can help pay off
your high deductible .
